Apr 8: Alberta election: community discussion about the issues facing people with disabilities @ Central Library (800 3 St SE) Noon-2pm. You can register for this event though https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/alberta-elections-community-discussion-with-party-representatives-tickets-59355386559 or just show up. There will be party representatives at the discussion, and lots of good conversation about things the things that matter to our daily lives in the upcoming election.

Apr 10: Free Energy Saving Workshop @ Crowfoot library (8665 Nose Hill Dr NW) 6:30-8pm. If you missed the workshop held at Cass on April 1st, there are still lots of chances to get some tips on how to save energy in your home, and a free kits full of things that will help you save money on your utility bills.

Apr 12: Calgary Night Market @ Eau Claire Market (200 Barclay Parade SW) 4-10pm. Local DJ, Games, arts and crafts, and a great local market https://www.facebook.com/events/327909231136329/

Apr 13: Calgary Law Day @ Calgary Courts Centre (601 5 St SW) 9am-3pm. Mock Trials, Panels, stories and workshops. See https://lawdayalberta.weebly.com/schedule--activities6.html for the schedule.

Apr 13: Staying Safe Online @ Central Library (800 3 St SE) 1pm. Learn about internet safety.

Apr 13: Spring Art Show @ Bow Cliff Centre (3375 Spruce Drive SW) 10am-3pm. Meet instructors, learn about classes, and see the artist’s work coming out of this program.

Apr 13: Calgary Artists Society Spring Show and Sale @ Parkdale United Church (2919 8 Ave NW) 9am-4pm. original paintings by 45 local artists.

Apr 14: Hop & Shop @ Crescent Heights Community Association (1101 2 St NW) 10am-3pm. Clothing swap, mini market and Easter egg hunt.

Mar 27-June 9: ROAR: Exploring queer history and gender identity @ Lougheed House (707 13 Ave SW) There are a number of events exploring queer history in Calgary. See www.roar.lougheedhouse.com for info, prices and tickets.

Apr 10-13: Picture This… Film Festival @ Calgary Scope Society (219 18 st SE) This annual international disability film festival is in its 18th year. One-day passes are $10, $7.50 for students, seniors, and low-income support programs. Please see https://www.ptff.org/ for more info.

Apr 11: Adults Only Night : Science and Science Fiction @ Telus SPARK Science Centre (220 St George’s Dr NE) 5-9pm. Apr 13: We Are All Treaty People @ cSPACE King Edward Studio Theatre (1721 29 Ave SW) performances start at 2pm and 7pm. “The play’s intent is to promote healing and to inspire positive relationships across cultures and generations”. Apr 13: The Fibre Shindig @ Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Associaiton (1320 5 Ave NW) 10am-4pm. Admission is $5 for adults. Spinning, weaving, crochet, knitting, etc.

Apr 13-14: Kitties n’ Blooms cat show @ Southland Leisure Centre (2000 Southland Drive SW) 9am-4:30pm. Adult admission is $6, $4 for seniors.
