Happy Father’s Day!

Aboriginal Awareness week is coming up from June 19-24, but there are related events starting right away that are included below, and you can find the official calendar of events attached to this posting.

Have you checked out the Alex Community Food Centre yet? They have a number of programs relating to food, gardening, and money that you can check out at , or just head down to visit them at 4920 17 Ave SE every second Wednesday for a free drop-in community lunch.

The stampede is coming up, and I will have tons of information coming to you about it in these emails in the coming weeks. For this week though, I just wanted to mention that this year they are selling a “Stampede Superpass” that gets you unlimited entry to the stampede for $39. You will need a smartphone to use it—they scan the pass from your phone at the entry, or you can pay and extra $5 to get a physical pass if you do not have a smartphone. It is only available until June 12 though, so if you plan on going down to the grounds regularly, please plan to get it soon at
