Calgary Alternative Support Services (CASS) is a Not-For-Profit Human Service Agency founded in 1988 to support people with disabilities to escape segregation and discrimination and live, work, play and contribute to their communities. CASS’s work is a combination of advocacy, community development, and service to the people of Calgary.

CASS is looking to add an IT Administrator to our team!

This role will report to the Director of Operations and will be responsible for the full cycle IT offerings to the agency. This role will provide dynamic experiences that range from but not limited to:

  • maintaining Local Area Networks, Servers, and connectivity with satellite offices
  • maintaining agency websites
  • support of an Enterprise Resource Planning software solution that integrates Finance, HR and Payroll operations
  • development of agency IT infrastructure in support of continued growth
  • Supporting senior leadership through the provision of expert advice as it relates to Information Technology
  • end-user support

Key knowledge and responsibilities include:

The key job duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Provision, manage, and terminate accounts within Windows Active Directory and Azure, proprietary database solutions, phone systems, etc.
  • ongoing implementation of, and transition to Azure Active Directory
  • Maintain agency computer software & hardware components, networks, servers, databases and phone system
  • Perform troubleshooting of tier 1 – 3 technical issues for in-house and remote locations
  • maintain agency websites to increase agency utilization and experience
  • Purchase and deployment of new software and hardware solutions
  • Creation and maintenance of IT documentation and reference materials
  • Support IT training initiatives
  • Development and maintenance of internal IT policies

Required Education:

Diploma/Degree in Information Management Systems or another related program

Required Training:

A Police Check is required from all CASS Staff. The successful applicant will have/or complete the following training within 60 days of being hired;

  • Abuse Awareness Training
  • Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI)
  • Medication Administration
  • First Aid and Mental Health First Aid
  • Safety Training
  • Introduction to Your Role and Challenging Behaviours (Parts I & II)
  • Workplace Violence and Harassment Training
  • Infection Prevention and Control
  • COVID-19 Employee Health & Safety Training
  • Trauma-Informed Care

Experience:

Mandatory 3+ years of experience as an IT/Systems/Network Administrator or other related roles
Experience with Microsoft Azure Active Directory
Experience with Linux Server Administration a strong asset
Experience with Microsoft Business Central a strong asset
Experience with Drupal an asset

Other Requirements:

A vehicle/valid driver’s license is essential
