Relief Support Worker – Residential Program

Salary: $18.40/hour
Location: On-Going

Calgary Alternative Support Services (CASS) is continuously looking for upbeat and positive individuals to support our clients in the Residential Program on a casual basis. The Relief role offers flexibility in schedules and a variety of different hours per week.

Relief roles are responsible for providing positive support to individuals and help them engage and participate in activities throughout the community.

All CASS staff are required to provide a Police Information and Vulnerable Sector check. CASS will accept Police & Vulnerable sector checks completed within the last six (6) months.

Required Education:

Diploma/Degree in Disability Studies or related field

Required Training:

The successful applicant will have/or complete the following training within three months of being hired; Abuse Awareness Training, First Aid, CPI, Health & Safety training plus Introduction to Your Role and Challenging Behaviours (Parts I & II) online material. Some of these courses are available here at CASS. A Police Check is required from all CASS Staff.

Experience:

Knowledge in supporting adults with developmental disabilities preferred

Other Requirements:

A Police Information and Vulnerable Sector Check less than 6 months old.

Must have valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle.
