The Calgary Reads Big Book Sale is coming up next month, and they are looking for volunteers. If you would like to support this giant community book sale, please check out the volunteer orientation from 1:30-2:45 at the Calgary Curling Club, 720 3 St NW.

Apr 18: Nose Hill Nature Walk @ Brisebois Drive entrance to Nose Hill Park, 8:30-10:30am. Join a morning group nature walk

Apr 19: Easter Petting Zoo @ Westbrook Mall (1200 37 St SW) Noon-5pm.

Apr 20: Easter Petting Zoo @ Marlborough Mall (3800 Memorial Dr NE) 10am-6pm.

Apr 20: Palette Fine Art Show @ Triwood Community Hall (2244 Chicoutimi Drive NW) 10am-4pm.


Apr 15: The New Millennium- Foothills Concert Band @ Leacock Theatre, MRU (4825 Mount Roayl Gate SW). Tickets are $15 to this 50th anniversary performance.

Apr 17-21: Calgary International Auto & Truck Show @ BMO Centre. Wed Noon-9:30pm, Thurs-Sat 10am-9:30pm, Sun 10am-6pm. Tickets are $12.50.

Apr 18: Call of the Wetland @ Fish Creek Environmental Learning Centre (13931 Woodpath Rd SW) Learn more about citizen science, and how we can all help support local wetlands. Free for members, $10 for general admission.

Apr 18-20: Easter @ the Calgary Farmers Market (510 77 Ave SE) 10am-2pm. Recommended cash donation of $5 to the Calgary Food Bank

Apr 19& 20: Easter Eggstravaganza @ The Calgary Zoo (1300 Zoo Rd NE) Regular hours and admission rates apply. Get your Spring on at this annual events filled with activities, animals and free stuff.

Apr 22-28: Calgary Underground Film Festival @ Globe Cinema (617 8 Ave SW) Various times, tickets range from $8-$10 per film. You can see the schedule and get more information at
