The CASS Email service was migrated to a new mail cluster in a new data centre yesterday.

As a result of that move users will likely need to update their email client settings to use the following incoming and outgoing server settings.

incoming mail server: imap.dreamhost.com   - port 993, security type SSL/TLS

outgoing mail server: smtp.dreamhost.com   - port 465, security type SSL/TLS

This is also described in the reference material titled "Configure an email client to connect to CASS mail servers" which is available on the Forms and Documents page on this website which is available after logging in with your staff account.

https://webmail.dreamhost.com continues to be a viable alternative.

If you have any questions please contact Kyle Maclean at support@c-a-s-s.org or via phone at 403.283.0611.

Below are step by step instructions on how to update the Mozilla Thunderbird Email client to use our new mail server settings. Please note, the instructions are specific to Mozilla Thunderbird, other email clients (such as Microsoft Outlook or smartphone apps) will be different.

When you next send/receive email using Mozilla Thunderbird you will be prompted for your CASS Email password. If you can't remember your password please request a new email password from CASS HR.

Please let me know if you require any assistance setting up your Mozilla Thunderbird Email client or any other email client to connect to CASS mail servers.

Thanks.
