Calgary Alternative Day Options program is seeking a Community Support Worker (CSW) to support an individual in the community. The CSW responsibilities include providing support to explore and pursue various interests including recreational opportunities and promoting community inclusion.

The schedule for this position is 9 hours per week - Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm. The hourly pay rate for this position begins at $18.40 and will increase to $20.25 upon completion of a successful probation period (3 months), completion of mandatory training, and submission of required documentation.

All CASS staff are required to provide a Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector Check. 



Required Education:
Disability Studies Diploma or equivalent

Required Training:

Successful candidates will complete mandatory training within 3 months of hire: Emergency First Aid; Non-Violent Crisis Intervention; Health and Safety; Abuse Awareness; Introduction to Your Role; Challenging Behaviours (Part I&II). The majority of these course are offered either online or in-house.

Previous experience providing community/residential supports to adults with developmental disabilities.

Other Required Skills:
Client requires assistance with manual transfer.
