Community Support Worker - Residential Program

Calgary Alternative Support Services (CASS) is continuously looking for enthusiastic people for our Residential Program. As a Community Support Worker you will support a diverse clientele develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle by promoting positive mental health and through facilitating recreational & leisure activities in the community.

Schedules can fluctuate depending on client needs, and shifts are available during the day, evening and weekend. The hourly rate begins at $18.40/hour and will increase to $20.25 upon completion of a successful probationary period (90 days), completion of mandatory training and submission of completion documents. 

All CASS staff are required to provide a Police Information and Vulnerable Sector check. CASS will accept Police & Vulnerable sector checks completed within the last six (6) months.  

Required Education:
Disability Studies Diploma or equivalent

Required Training:

Successful candidates will complete mandatory training within 3 months of hire: Emergency First Aid; Non-Violent Crisis Intervention; Health and Safety; Abuse Awareness; Introduction to Your Role; Challenging Behaviours (Part I&II). The majority of these course are offered either online or in-house.

Knowledge in supporting adults with developmental disabilities preferred

Other Required Skills:
Must have valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle.
