Hi Everyone,

The Holiday markets continue!

Don’t miss out-- Kevin A will be showing his loom knitting at CASS on Thursday November 15 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Kevin has knitted hats, mittens, scarves, and a queen size blanket.  He will be having a demonstration of simple loom knitting.  Adult and children’s hats will be for sale at $10 each.

Have you been wondering what the signs around town saying “Yes” and “No” are all about? Calgary will be holding a plebiscite (direct vote) on November 13th to find out whether or not there is community support for hosting the 2026 Winter Paralympics and Olympics. The elections workers and Access Calgary have been hard at work making sure that voting is as accessible as possible in the short time frame they have had to organize this vote. Polling stations will be open from 8am-8pm. You can find your polling station at .

Please see for more information about accessibility and a general overview of the process at the polling station.

If you want to know what some of the pros and cons of hosting the Olympics and Paralympics here are, has a link to an engagement toolkit that you can use to discuss the bid with family and friends.
