Hi Everyone,

If you are looking for some lighthearted election coverage that is clear, concise, and issue-based rather than candidate based, check out https://sprawlcalgary.com/ . Whether you like to watch videos or read, there is a good selection of media types to engage with.

Here are some more ways to get info about the people who are running for election in your ward. Metro Calgary has put a series of videos up on youtube of candidates for councillor. They have only made it to ward 6 so far, but stay tuned! Check them out here:

Ward 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKRxV7w3XLI

Ward 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZ03PuOfbZk

Ward 3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0kuinhKD4g

Ward 4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4UW6ScsoT0

Ward 5: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9RQvmRqKsg

Ward 6: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JywmngLDD2k

Mayoral Candidates are here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTfdjSWxdpU&t=1s

And don’t forget to learn more about the trustee candidates running for the public and separate school boards while you are learning about the people who want to be the mayor or acouncillor!

You can find info about all of them here: http://www.calgary.ca/election/Pages/meet-the-candidates/school-trustee/default.aspx

Find their websites and social media accounts through the links found here: http://calgarydemocracy.ca/levels/calgary/elections/2017/ballots

If surfing the internet to figure out who you want to vote for isn’t your thing, I will have simple, concise candidate overviews available next week, and a list of questions you can discuss to figure out "WHAT ON EARTH ARE THEY SAYING?!?!"  To explore what you think about the issues and who you want to vote for.

Also: Please support people to come by the CASS advisory forum meeting on October 11: Calgary Municipal Election Edition! This is open to everyone, and will be an unbiased exploration of what the candidates are saying, and what you agree with, along with how to find your polling station and how to vote

If you’ve made it this far through this listing, let me know if you want to be entered into a draw for a FREE Ticket Voucher from Lunchbox Theatre (http://www.lunchboxtheatre.com/), and/ or a 2 for 1 admission for the Calgary Tattoo & Arts Festival (http://www.albertatattooshows.com/Tattoo-Calgary)! The tattoo festival is normally $25 admission for a day, but you can get two people in for $25 with this ticket (support staff receive complimentary admission). There are 4 up for grabs, so let me know if you want it!

I will be drawing for both of these on Wednesday October 11, at 1pm.
