Hi Everyone,

Don’t forget that Joni Righthand’s book launch for her fifth Punctuation Association Comic Book is at CASS on Friday September 15, from 11:30am-1pm. There will be light refreshments and a reading by the author at noon, followed by a Q&A where Joni will answer questions about her creative process, starting her own business, and how she came up with the stories and characters. Joni is currently working on a blog to help keep her fans up to date on the Punctuation Association’s escapades, but until then you can see her featured in an article in the Calgary Metro at http://www.metronews.ca/news/calgary/2015/02/01/i-see-the-world-in-a-very-unique-way-autistic-calgary-cartoonist-launches-comic-strip-series.html . I hope to see you there!

CASS has access to a great ticket deal from the Calgary Hitmen—If we can get 10 or more people to buy tickets to the Hitmen Home Opener at 7pm on Saturday, September 23, The tickets will only be $12 each for adults and $10 for kids, and we will get an equal number of free ticket vouchers to a game of choice in October or November. If enough people let me know that they want in on this, I will order our tickets on Thursday, September 14 at Noon. Please email or phone me ASAP with the names of everyone who wants to go, along with whether you want the ticket voucher for the future game, or want the voucher to go in a draw for someone else.  You will need to pay for the tickets (cash only) by Friday September 15th.

We have complimentary tickets to the Calgary Fall Home & Garden Show:  Sept 21-24. Please let me know if you would like me to get some to you, or you can swing by the reception area at the CASS office and pick some up from there.
