CAPA Skill-building Workshops

Join our free, interactive 1-hour workshop series to build practical life skills you can use every day. Each session includes hands-on activities and practical take-home tools to support your learning.

Workshops are offered multiple times each week, both online and in person, giving you the flexibility to attend in the way that works best for you. The series follows an 8-week cycle, with sessions repeating regularly, so if you miss a workshop, you can attend it at a later date. Participation is completely flexible—attend as many or as few workshops as you like.

Who can attend?

To be eligible for the CAPA workshops, individuals must:

  • Be living with a disability (developmental, neurological, physical, mental health, or sensory)
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Reside in Calgary or surrounding rural communities
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Not currently be receiving supports through other Government of Alberta programs (e.g., PDD, FASD or brain injury supports)
