CASS is extending a warm and gracious "THANK YOU"  to our generous donor of a new Barbecue and Barbecue Accessories.

Kevin Haughton and family, of Renfrew Insurance, have supported our client base for a few years now, and provide continued support by way of donations to CASS clients for client food hampers, CASS events, and now have donated this beautiful barbecue as well.

On Thursday, June 23, 2011 - Kevin and his family, along with the Renfrew Insurance Team joined our Client Dinner Club Coordinator Jamie, in christening the barbecue and firing it up for the first time. The barbecue was "smokin hot" and the meal fixins were provided by CASS staff.

We all enjoyed our day - the weather was great, the food was terrific, and the fundraising for client food hampers was amazing.

Thanks again to Kevin Haughton and family of Renfrew Insurance, for making this event possible and for contributing to the future activities of our client base.

Hello everyone,

As you may be aware, Canada Post has locked out its striking Union Employees.  As a result there will be no mail delivery until further negotiations occur. To address this, all CASS employee cheques for expenses and mileage claims will be processed as they come in, as per the usual time line, but will be held for pick up at the front desk.   You may also make other arrangements with your supervisor. Should the strike/lock out continue and not be resolved before the next pay period, all paystubs and newsletters will be held at the CASS main office for pick up as well.

If you have further concerns please contact your immediate supervisor.

Thank you!

Enjoy the public art downtown by choosing one of the many options! Start at the south entrance of the Municpal Building at 8th Avenue and 12th Street SE. You can download the "tour" to your iPhone, iPod or iPad for all the information at your fingertips. Or, print off the brochure and take it with you on your walk. Another option is to dial 403-268-1616 for a narrative while you tour. You could also choose to join a guided tour the first Thursday of each month at 5 pm. The guide will meet you at the info booth on the plaza level of the Municipal Building, 800 MacLeod Trail SE.

The tour is approximately 1.2 km through downtown buildings and seven Plus 15 corridors and takes about 40 - 50 minutes. The tour is FREE, and wheelchair accessible. The corridors are open 7 am to 6 pm everyday, giving you lots of tour options! Go to and click on Downtown Public Art Circuit for more information or your downloads.

This tour is mostly indoors, with a few quick jaunts outside - might be an option for our r-a-i-n-y June!
